Its only been about a day since I have arrived here in Marco Island Florida, and I have already done so many new things, and also learned many new things. Apparently, the laws of Florida state that you have to be 18 to ride jet-skis that are resort provided. In most other places it is only 14. I find it funny that, in Florida, you can actually legally drive a car, and also legally own a gun, before you are allowed to drive a jet ski without permission. My friends and I still got to jet ski but we had to pass this weird boat exam first and also sign a waver that stated if we died or did something stupid that it wasn't the resorts fault. The waver also recommended that we did not do anything reckless on the jet-skis. Which was pretty hard to do. But I do kind of find it funny that you can drive a car, and own a gun, before you can use a jet ski without adult permission, and also without passing the exam. Also, that in other states, you normally only have to be 14. Except Hawaii, where you are required to be 16. I wonder what the cause for this large age requirement in Florida is. I wonder if there was like an incident or something that caused this large age requirement. Anyway, I have still done so many things and cannot wait to find out what will happen during the rest of this vacation.
